Mindful Solidarity
A Secular Buddhist Democratic Socialist Dialogue
❛ How do we respond in a mindful and compassionate way to the social and economic crises that we all face? ❜
Author Mike Slott holds this question in mind in Tuwhiri’s new book, Mindful Solidarity: A Secular Buddhist Social Democratic Dialogue.
He suggests that both democratic socialist politics and a secular form of Buddhism are essential if we wish to create a society in which everyone has the opportunity to flourish.
Encouraging political activists and Buddhist practitioners to connect with, and learn from, each other, when we pursue individual and social transformation together we will be enriching the Buddhist path, making it more ethically and socially focussed.
