When you’re knee deep in the weeds of a secular dharma publishing imprint, it’s sometimes not possible to see the wood for the trees.
Recently, editorial board member Mike Slott suggested a number of ways we could usefully update three crucial pages on our website. This has been done, so now they make better sense. The pages in question are:
About Tuwhiri
Supporting Tuwhiri
Editorial board
While we were doing this, with some very welcome feedback from a Tuwhiri Supporter, we now make a clear distinction between the top tier of our newsletter subscription and the first Supporter tier – both of which had been set at USD $300.
Since Supporters offer us a charitable donation, from now on they will receive a tax receipt only, while top level newsletter subscribers will get complimentary copies of new Tuwhiri books prior to publication, in addition to all the other paid subscriber benefits.
You can read the updated pages on our website (links are above) or download them all in one PDF. ⁂

AVAILABLE NOW
Revamp in Thai
A little under four years ago, we launched a project to translate Winton Higgins’s Revamp: writings on secular Buddhism into Thai, and to assist the Thai publishing house Samyan Press to publish this edition. The donations we received for this project were very useful, and most welcome.
Progress, though, has been achingly slow. Recently, Samyan Press sent us the PDF digital edition of the book, and it is available now in Tuwhiri’s online store. In Thai, the book has a new title:
We keenly await news of the ePub digital edition and the printed book. ⁂
BOOK READING GROUPS
A book reading group with your friends?
Would you like to run a book reading group for your dharma community, your sangha, or perhaps a local community group? Reading guides are free, and exist for:
What is this? Ancient questions for modern minds
Revamp: Writings on secular Buddhism
Mindful Solidarity: A secular Buddhist social democratic dialogue
And of course, After Buddhism: a workbook is itself a guide to Stephen Batchelor’s After Buddhism.
To discuss this, please get in touch. We will let you know how you can get six or more paperbacks and the digital books at a discount. ⁂
JUST ONE MORE THING
Please don’t forget…
When you buy 10 or more copies of any printed book in our online store, you’ll automagically get 20 percent off.
Oh, and another thing – whenever you buy a book in our online store, we pay for the postage, worldwide. ⁂
We’re so, so grateful to you
When you read this newsletter, buy a book, let others know about Tuwhiri, or decide you’re going to pay for your newsletter, know that you’re part of the community which helps us to publish innovative secular dharma books. ⁂
