SOUTH WALES (CYMRU)
Secular dharma practitioners meeting online
In January 2022, three friends got together on Zoom. From this starting point, the South Wales (Cymru) Secular Dharma discussion group now meets every second week, with between 8 and 12 people taking part.
Lorna Edwards (above – one of the original three) tells us that, ‘The enthusiasm and energy in the group is amazing’. Send an email to find out more. ⁂

Study retreat – TAKE PART ONLINE
Secular dharma and ethical living – how to live in a world in crisis
Led by Stephen Batchelor, Winton Higgins, and Lenorë Lambert
3 to 10 December 2023
Over the week, we will explore through talks and discussion how the dharma taught by the Buddha 2,500 years ago can help provide the ethical perspectives and practices we need to engage effectively with the various interconnected crises our world faces in the 21st century – economic, environmental, social, psychological, and spiritual.
Taking part online by Zoom, you can follow as much of the retreat schedule as your inclination and circumstances permit, and from wherever you are on this planet.

‘Create 1941’, author Bernard Cadogan writes, ‘is a radical epic poem, not a fuddy-duddy poem. I did not compose it in Spenserian stanzas as a conservative nostalgia trip or as whimsy, but as a deliberate act of decolonisation and reparation for Edmund Spenser and New Zealand premier Alfred Domett’s racist epic ‘Ranolf and Amohia’.
An excellent gift for your very special relative, or friend, get 15% off the paperback edition of this 2475-line epic poem by using the code Dec23jwx – offer runs until 31 Dec. ⁂
